Pinrose Review Day One: Surf Siren
So I reordered the samples and they came in the mail! Yay! I got three, the same three I may or may not have discussed earlier: Campfire Rebel, Surf Siren, and Treehouse Royal. The sample format is a little strange. They are not little glass vials or small atomizers (like English Laundry), but they are wipes. Interesting.
In the coming video, I will discuss the packaging and the details of what they send when you order samples. I was not disappointed, and you won't be either. They come in a really nice folder with a little booklet that describes the notes of the perfumes and has space for your scribbles and thoughts of each scent.
Since they are all distinctly different scents, I want to try them one at a time and wear them all day so that all of the notes come through and I can give you an informed opinion. Day one: Surf Siren.

SMILE (top)- lavender, orange oil
HEART (middle)- basil, petit grain
SOUL (base)- neroli

I wore Surf Siren on a night out with my boyfriend, we were by the way celebrating three years together this past thursday <3. This one makes me feel and smell like a mermaid. The scent of Surf Siren is beachy to say the least. I love the basil note! It is so unique and fresh; it adds that Je ne sais quoi to the fragrance. Best of all, it gets Hal's seal of approval. I wouldn't use perfume unless we both liked it. Surf Siren is most appropriate for spring and summer as a day or night scent. I wouldn't say its appropriate for winter or fall.
